How To Guide:

INSTRUCTIONS: Hold the screen and aim device at a point on the ground that you wish to find the distance too. When you have the device so all you see is the very bottom of it, carefully let go of the screen without ruining your aim. Once the screen is released the distance will stay constant and you may view the distance calculated.

EYE HEIGHT: Make sure this is correct for each measurement. When standing just set this to your actual height minus about 4 inches.
AIMING: While touching the screen point the device at the location on the ground you wish to find the distance too. Make sure the device is face up, with the charging connector port facing you. For best results tilt until all you can see is the bottom of the device. Align the location your trying to get the distance too along the screen on the device. The device can be as far away from your eye as you would like, all that matters is the angle being calculated by the accelerometer. Try to make the point your aiming at and the face of the screen blend into one line. Be careful not to move the device when releasing your finger.
PRACTICE: For best results practice on a known length until you accurately get the correct length every time. Also until your comfortable with how well you can aim, It may be best to take the measurement of unknown lengths 3 or 4 times and go off of the common length.
LIMITATIONS: The location your getting a distance too is expected to be at the same elevation as your feet. In other words the ground is expected to be flat.
